  • Presented in India this Thursday, April 26, the new smartphone OnePlus 7T Chinese firm OnePlus arises as an alternative to the giants of telephony.
  • With a screen cut for video and games and a battery of photo modules to pale the smartphones best equipped, it will still have to prove itself.
  • Its launch should intervene quickly, but its price, which one imagines tight, is still kept secret.

Amoled screen of 6.55 ''; a trio of rear photo modules including an ultra grand-angle; 3800 mAh battery with fast charging ... The announcement of the new smartphone OnePlus 7T this Thursday looked like a gourmet menu. Appetizing? Determined to play the credible and economic alternatives to the tenors of telephony that are Samsung, Huawei, and Apple, the Chinese manufacturer has not skimped on the quality of ingredients and technical debauchery.

Aim: to offer for a price a priori acceptable (which has not yet been specified) a high-end smartphone. It should be marketed in France in the coming weeks *. OnePlus wants to expand its target and reach beyond its fan community, a much wider customer base

A screen for videographers

The Chinese brand gives itself the means. If the screen of the new OnePlus 7T is only Full HD + (1400 x 1080 pixels), its slab is Amoled. According to OnePlus, its brightness is 27% better than the OnePlus 7 . In addition, it would reduce blue light by 40%, which can lead to sleep disturbances and eyestrain. Another good news: the OnePlus 7T is compatible HDR10 + and allows to display video content much more nuanced.

At 20: 9 ratio, the smartphone screen is pretty well thought out for videographers and bulimic image players. The size of the notch receiving the 16-megapixel front-facing photo sensor has been revised downward and is 31% smaller than the OnePlus 7. The terminal now features Dolby Atmos-compatible stereo speakers for a much more immersive.

Three sensors like the big ones

The manufacturer also responds to the appetite of the public ever more assertive for photography and video. It conforms to the new deal with a trio of rear photo modules. On the menu: 48 megapixels (26 mm, f / 1.6); 12 megapixels (telephoto of 51 mm, f / 2.2) and 16 megapixels (ultra-wide angle of 117 °). This trio is gathered in circular form at the back of the smartphone in the form of a block a little massive. Thus distributed, these modules would allow according to OnePlus to "better manage the available space under the shell of the smartphone." Seen from behind, the OnePlus 7T does not have to blush in front of the iPhone 11 Pro and its imposing rear photo block, or facing the future Huawei Mate 30 back heavily encumbered ... The quantity is good, the quality it's better: OnePlus who was a little disappointed with his OnePlus 7 Pro is clearly expected at the turn on the photo. Good point: the ultra-wide 7T is now available in video, Night mode and Portrait. And it allows macro photos up to 2.5 cm.

Ultra fast charge

As usual, OnePlus plays the card of the performance with a muscular processor. This is the Snapdragon 855 + Qualcomm, a state-of-the-art chip optimized for video games. It is found on the Xiaomi 9 Pro 5G smartphone that was announced this Tuesday, September 24. And we expect especially on Google Pixel 4 , which will be unveiled in early October.

The processor of the OnePlus 7T is hitched to a RAM of 8 Gb (and 128 GB of storage). Finally, the terminal that has just been unveiled is equipped with a battery of 3,800 mAh (against 3,700 mAh for the OnePlus 7). A slight improvement offset by the manufacturer's Wrap Charge system . It provides a full charge of the smartphone in one hour (50% in 20 minutes and 70% in 30 minutes). After the photo, the autonomy and ultra-fast charge of smartphones could be a new playground for manufacturers.
